IT Support Technician

Salary Range
£20k - £26k Depending on experience

Key duties and Responsibilities

=       To carry out monthly project work as and when requested to do so to ensure the business continues to move forward with technology.  To check the company backup’s daily, resolving any issues or escalating issues if necessary

=       To configure accounts for new starters/leavers and movers to ensure systems are up to date and ready for the users on time, including desk moves and desktop maintenance. Monthly archiving of old users to ensure AD is up to date.

=       To carry out hardware asset management and provisioning ensuring servers and desktops are fully up to date via WSUS

=       To perform regular tasks such as ensuring companies WDS images are up to date, regularly checking the email security device, configuring company mobiles.

=       To ensure documentation and systems is kept up to date including sharepoint 2013 administration

=       To communicate with the relevant department managers/agents to highlight issues that may have a detrimental effect on the quality of service provided

=       To undertake  other such duties related to the work and appropriate to the post, as directed by the I.T Manager

=       To ensure that all regulatory requirements are adhered to including the protection of client and employee data

Specialist Requirements

=       Educated to at least GCSE level, with working knowledge of Windows 7 & 8, Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, 2013, 365, Outbound dialers with softphones, Proclaim, Windows Server 2008 & 2012, Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010, Hyper V 2008/2012, Sharepoint 2013, HP Servers, HP Procurve Switches, SonicWall Firewall, Cabling and patching, AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS, WDS, WSUS
